You can be a part of the Catholic Seafarers' Ministry!
We have volunteer opportunities available in the following areas:
If you have a good driving record, solid knowledge of Seattle-area streets, are comfortable driving large vehicles, and can pass a background check, you may be interested in becoming a volunteer driver! Volunteers are needed for morning transport duties from 9AM to around 2PM one or two days per week. These volunteers come to the center in the morning to review ships visiting for the day, help out with tasks at the center, and await dispatch to ships for crew transport. At the end of the day, you then coordinate with our Ship Visitors to arrange pickups for any seafarers who are still at shopping locations.
Labor/Management Luncheon Volunteers
We have a very committed group of men and women who help do table setup, place settings, decorations, raffle ticket sales, food service, and cleanup for the Labor/Management luncheons we host about four times per year (November through May). There is a place for you in helping with these events, which are important in our relations in the maritime and labor communities.
